Be Consistent. In a family group, proper clothing coordination is critical. Choose colors in the same tonal range so that no single member stands out.
Very simple garments and solid tones work best.

"I met Ryan for my Senior Portrait Session a little over a year ago, and I can attest that these portraits really are a gift that keeps on giving. My session with Ryan was quite comfortable, and even (dare I say it) quite enjoyable, too! (I have never liked having my picture taken). These pictures mean so much to me and my family, and I just can't stop getting compliments on them - they're featured in all the homes of my extended family, too. This was a great gift from my mom, and I'm so glad we chose Ryan for the job! It was easy - he gave clear instructions and made sure I was comfortable at all times during the session. He was also a bit scatterbrained sometimes, but that's what made it fun - even though everything was very relaxed and easy-going, he was able to get some really beautiful shots without having to actually "pose" me. (Which is something I've never experienced with a professional photographer before). I really love these portraits, and I'm sure I will love them just as much 50 years from now. Now that's a gift that keeps on giving!"
